It's only natural for Sunderland to struggle these days. The ‘identity’ that Gus Poyet spoke of at the start of the season is slowly taking shape, though the age old brand of ‘Premier League Strugglers’ lingers on. It’s often easy to drown in the pool of negativity that surrounds a team who have lacked fluidity for so long, but Sunderland fans can have much to be pleased about.

Not a f**king patch on PISTON's Positives.

fail to win at the weekend and its another very poor start to the season, particularly given that we have had Burnley, QPR and West Brom.

Points not positives are now required

It is a bit overeffusive like. Not so much glass half-full as gone swimming in the brewery!

If they hadn't made the incomprensible mistake of not signing or loaning any strikers over the Summer we could all relax and enjoy the season...

As it is I'm very cautiously optimistic. ..but suspect we may need to do some decent business in January not to end up right in a relegation fight again..

Sunderland should shut up shop and burn down the stadium of shite. They are shite!!! Howey the f***ing TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNN

We were bottom of the league for 90% of last season and are perennial strugglers. Why on earth would we regard two points from those three away games as a bad return?

It isn't particularly a good return or a return that suggests there are plenty of positives to be excited about.

Its a return that suggests we wont be doing anything other than struggling again.
