if talksport did not have adverts , which would be the best ?
Talksport is more "controversial" :rollsfuckingeyessadcunts:
Never listened to 5 live but listen to Talksport simply because H&J are funny.
R5 all day long
Depends who the presenters are as H&J and Danny Kelly piss all ower any R5 sports show host.
Id prefer a "non controversy/banter" based national sports radio station that does what "Talksport" s title suggests it does but seems incapable of doing.
Except of course for Sir Danny Baker
Overrated, as shown by one of his major weekly features where they list people whose names rhyme with each other. Such creativity.
Nick Hancock's similar-ish show on Sunday is far better, despite his gratey voice.
Having said that, I've never seen the Geordie lass on Baker's show, but have no doubt I wad.
Radio 5 Live by a mile. Talksport is just shock radio (make the listener angry) but with sports in it.
I like 5Live for breaksfast show and in the evening, but through the day it's fairly poor with the phones ins etc. Cannot stand the guy that does the Drive show in the afternoon either.
Peter Allan he's superb man.
Anyhiow baxk to the OP 5live for me have to admit I like Colin Murray on a Friday night and Saturday morning and I dont mind Chappers who has come a long way from being Scott Miles' sidekick on radio 1. I dont get to listen to the radio during the day so never listen to H&J who when i have listened are just about the best thing on radio but the thing that really lets Talkshite down is Stan the shouter Collymore cant stant the twat.
Talksport is a work of marketing genius. Employ morons who are happy to spout controversial bollocks, get the emotionally unstable all annoyed and ringing/texting their premium rate lines. It's simple yet brilliant.
5Live has it's fault but is gazillions of miles better, the two stations shouldn't really be uttered in the same breath.
some parts of both stations are good some parts are shit
5Live by a long way for me - largely for Up All Night which is a work of genius. Admittedly I don't generally listen during the day.
talksport is populated by grade 'A' bellends and caters for sun readers (nee offense...but you have to be thick as a bucket of concrete to listen to it)
some parts of talksport are canny , a lot of it is shit though
id say 5 live has teh same issues
it does..I am sure Victoria Derbyshire used to sit at home, trawl the internet and come up with the biggest fishing stories just to hook people into phoning up in a froth of righteous indignation
Radio 5 does at least have some brighter spots though, and I do like the fact that thy have a current player on their phone ins, even funnier as it a blackburn player and he gets it in the neck every week!
any station that employs Collymore and mickey quinn will not get the benefit of my ears
Wether you agree with there opinions or not 5/live pundits, presenters are they to give you there honest ones
Talksports presenters pundits in the most are they knowingly there to spout lies and bullshit just to waste time, wind people and get them to phone/text in at a premium rate
Listened to Adrian Durham for example away from talksport and he comes across as very intelligent bloke who knows his stuff about football, put him on talksport and he is there to lie to the listeners just to wind them up
Although Gough and Irani are just thick full stop so no need for them to lie to wind people up
agreed with that
i just find 5 live to be tedious at timmes
Separate names with a comma.
