I mean it's not hard is it, don't wear colours, don't mouth off, go on any train you want, go to any bar you want, drink anything you want, and walk to the ground, loads of lads go through under the radar all the time, all you have to do is keep your whits about you and don't carry on like a bunch of nobheads

This is our plan like. Last bit might be a sticking point mind.

I did it like that once, had no bother at all, got the bus through from Houghton.
I can't see a problem tbh. I'd never notice any mags in town on derby day unless they made themselves known. I doubt most people will be looking out for us or owt.

Exactly, it's not even like our accents can give us away either. As long as you don't get drunk and act the tit you won't get any bother at all. We lost that day like (Reid's last derby match) - we jumped on the buses back to Sunderland, couldn't face them after the match.

The civil war thing is a bit crap tbh. The reality is; right the way up to the 1960's people would regularly watch both clubs, and while there was rivalry between the clubs/cities, it was nothing like it is now. In fact, didnt hundreds gather at Sunderland station in the 50's to applaud the Newcastle team home after they won the cup?

The problems we have now are a by-product of the hooligan trouble that started in the mid 60's.

Fair point mate, but still I highly doubt the police can do much about.

Whit Sunday ?

Yeah that's exactly it. They touched on the escort provoking conflict theory last night and that's why they've scrapped it.

I still fail to see how they're going to prevent bother when hundreds of Sunderland turn up at Central around 12 though.
What do they think will happen when a load of pissed, boisterous Sunderland fans pile out of Centurion?

They're right about the escort like but people will still go through en masse and we'll still get the welcoming committee outside Central.

Is the bar in central station going to be open? Surely that would be the best place to congregate until the numbers are big enough.
