not received well by the the sunderland lads as above response shows
Bout time Sunderland produced summit other than the usual guitar shite then.
Guitar shites the in thing man Min, neebodys interested in that bleep bleepity blip stuff man, it went out in the 90's people want real stuff, not pretendy playing.
Manchester/Salford area produce at least 3 bands/groups/artists every year I'd reckon.
Some make it, some don't, but nevertheless this area keeps on giving.
You forgot the Boo Bop Bop Boo Boo drum sound
That piece is a re-hash of one that Allan Glen did for Live UK. Well-meaning but at the same time, a misrepresentation of how Field Music and The Futureheads came to be in the position they are today.
Dave Brewis replied on Wednesday with this cracking little piece.
The debate has rolled on and could be the catalyst for a new co-operative between Sunderland musicians, young and not so young, working with the Council to iron out their differences. Quite exciting really.
And before Rolf and Cindy et al were Leatherface and Hooton 3 Car and the like, who between them managed to influence the sound of the Japanese punk scene of the mid 90s.
Ah, went to school with Bassett, had no idea he was doing this

Phew!!!!! thank God for that, I'd got mesell in a right tizzy there lad! av calmed down now though but!! took the tablet n'that! and i agree all the bands I've heard from the town are punk\Jam wanna bees, not really
anything new that like.
Sheffield probably has the most healthy music scene of any city in the country these days, particularly for it's size... And it's not limited to indie music but right across Grime, hip hop, dance etc too. The Tramlines festival is superb as well.
