Totally agree, but I still think some people will be disappointed particularly the 'younger' generation, who were never around the first time. Most of us were off our tits when we saw bands like Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets , Charalatans (who I thought wdre always brilliant live) etc
When Led Zep did that gig fairly recently (tickets were like rocking horse shit), Id have loved to have gone, but would have felt that I wasnt getting the real Zep (aside from Bonham not being there) as the only time to truly see them would have been when they were actually recording/releasing albums. Same can be said for The Who, and to some extent Rolling Stones. Think Pink Floyd are the only excetion to that rule, but its only my opinion
the bass player, gary mounfield iirc, looks awful imo mate.these days. like a spitting image doll or summat.
Might ruin it for me that. Mate.
Was there last night. Loved it. Went for a piss during Ten storey love song.
I think the event is more important for most people.
Personally, I would rather pierce a testicle with a rusty nail than go to a field with a load of 40 something herberts but that is because i am 50 and prefer other stuff.
It will be fun for the people there even if the band didn't turn up. A holiday from middle age.
Heres a treat for fans of Reni...
I wouldn't put owt decent on mate, they'll be ruined by the end of play!
Can I borrow a pair off you?
what are the lottery numbers this week, lucky fella
How old are you?
Nah, I heard where it was going with that song, so I went for a piss. Watching the clips now most stuff doesn't sound too good, but if you're there singing your heart out with a couple of thousand others doing so too, you just enjoy yourself and you have no idea of the quality.
Reni doesn't look to happy with the gear at the start of the last song,as can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sES4OA8Gj4c
Exactly, if you want a quality performance just listen to the CD.
that's no guarantee
Their Debut album was one of the best ever and probably the last iconic album from a white band
None of them exactly look like they are having a good time like tbf
If you have tickets for Heaton Park don't watch this
just jesting mate...fond memories of seeing them on "snub tv" doing "i wanna be adored" and thinking it sounded great and they looked amazing..
