Anyone else going to see him in Newcastle on Friday? He's always class live
He's fucking awful, watched one of his dvd's and didnt laugh once, got bored after half an hour and turned it off. His tv show was, if it's possible, even worse.
No doubt the usual suspects will be on thrapping themselves daft over how thick I must be to not get him, couldnt give a shit he's as funny as piles.
Or maybe they just don't care about your opinion?
Someone will be along shortly saying how great he is and how if you dont like him you're thick, or maybe my pre-emptive strike will put them off, I really don't care, comedians are supposed to be funny surely?
I don't find him funny in the slightest but then again comedy is subjective
He's not funny.
he's great if you don'tl ike him you're thick
Wish I was going to see him.
Very clever bloke who subverts most of the conventions of humour, even if he is fairly self-indulgent.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but then Michael Macintyre has a career.
Find some of his stuff outstanding.
Find some of it self indulgent, repetitive and boring.
That's the funny thing about comedy, you find some things funny, other things not so funny. Mad, isn't it?
I think he's class, his delivery and timing are top quality. The best stand up around.
And I'm thick as pig shit, which blows your stereotype out the water!
Seen him a few years back, thought he was very good.
As mentioned his TV show was god awful, one of the worst things I have ever watched!
I watched one of his dvd's ages ago after seeing him so highly recommended on here and it was abysmal.
What's his best one? I'll give him another go if I can d/l it anywhere.
41st Best Stand Up Ever, imo.
That might be the one I watched......
Just had a look and dont still have it, must have been summat I lost a couple of years ago when I had a hard drive failure.
I like him, i find him funny and he's one of my favourite comics.
Whether or not someone else likes him is their business, i personally couldn't care less.
That's his worst IMO. 90s Comedian is much better
Saw him in Newcastle either last year or earlier this year, I struggle to remember due to the utter mediocrity of his act. Seems to have turned into a grumpy middle aged man ala Jack Dee.
Don't like him personally. Not my cup of tea.
It's all about opinions as the man says. I kind of like Stewart Lee's style and subject matter but he doesn't really make me laugh all that much.
I did however love the Sunday afternoon show he did with Richard Herring and PS, like Sir Anthony Hopkins, I am wanking as I write this
Lee and Herrin was some of the greatest comedy of the 90's. Lee's stand-up is mixed. Although sometimes it's funny he sometimes comes across as way too aloof.
