....linked to Warnock in the Daily Mail.
Most will so no, however he'd be a good signing for me.
Do we really need a left back more than a goalscorer and a creator in midfield? I'm not so sure.
I don't know about 'more than' but we do need a left back so get him in for me
More like linked with him weeks ago by Dennis Longhorn
Wouldn't be against it. Although do we really need a proper left back for the 1st time since McCartney (1st time)?
Brucey says no more signings.Believe him before the Daily Mail
You'd be better off assuming the opposite of what he says is the truth.
He says what he wants people to here and what best suits his agenda at the time.
Whether or not it happens to be the truth is entirely coincidental.
don't be daft lad, if we believed everything coming out of the club then we would still be waiting for our first transfer.
I'd be happy for him to come. Then we can get Max Gradel.
I don't think he'd come to us now he's back in the first team picture at Villa.
He'd probably see it as a downwards move (sideways at a real push)
Good player though if he was available for transfer.
We need a left back? Do we? Bardsley won POTY in that position, Richardson does a job in that position and O'Shea can also play at LB. If we were limited to 2 more signings (can't see us signing any more than 2 tbh), LB wouldn't exactly be top priority.
If you had said left wing then I'd agree but you didn't say that and Warnock isn't a left winger so it's a no from me.
Warnock will not be coming here. If he moves anywhere it will be to a north west club. He's never moved from Ormskirk and commutes. O'Neill was told he had moved so be got away with it. The reason he fell out of the picture under Gerard is an old falling out from their Liverpool days. Back in the frame under McLeish, but he wants him living down there too.
Won't happen IMO but would be a very good signing if it was around £3m-£4m.
As has often been posted, you need to see who else the fans voted POTY in the very recent past to realise this accolade is almost worthless
Yes but he done a job. Let's get other positions fixed before we start worrying about a position that (potentially) has 3 good players to fill it. I'm struggling to think of anyone who I'd be content with as left winger from our current squad. Steed is the only name that springs to mind and he cannit last more than 70 minutes.
Agree totally. Personally I believe Rico will be our LB next season.
With O'shea and brown close by, it will make him far more effective as I believe he has all the attributes to be very very effective there.
Still a month left in the window, and while I'd prefer we'd done it earlier I still believe a new Left sided midfielder/forward with pace will be brought in.
The real action in the window never gets going till the final week. Selling/loaning teams, players ( and their agents ) get twitchy.
I notice Chelsea are playing the likes of Zhirkov and Sturridge who normally dont get a look in and probably wont next season. City are giving games to SWP. manure are giving Welbeck a game.
I maybe being overly optimistic but I reckon this is shop window stuff.
There are some good left sided/ wide players languishing in the reserves like Zhirkov, Kolorov, Sturridge, SWP, Bellamy. Mancini is inherently a defensively minded manager, and that he is looking to bring in nasri means that one of Silva or Johnson will become more 'fringe'.
I believe a club like ours represents a good outcome for these players who have something to prove but dont want to lose out financially.
Separate names with a comma.
