Has been linked with SAFC yet again.
How tiresome, we don't even need him.
Hull clearly need to offload him from the wage bill, he has been linked to a legion of clubs already, it's the club and the agent just letting the world know he is available.
I would defo have him here as a squad player like, doubt he would settle for that though
When we first went up, i was well chuffed when we where linked with. Now i feel that we dont really need him, shows that we have progressed imo.
Malbranque is better and Richardson and Reid both as good, if not better, than Hunt as left-wingers. We're probably going to be looking for someone better than all 3 of them in the summer.
It would not be a positive move to sign Hunt, unless he's cheap and content on the bench. We've moved on (I hope).
Spotted coming out of greggs in the bridges.
Not needed at all.
I know its not all about goals but he scored more this season for Hull than those 3 did combined.
Even so, the fact that both the premiership teams he's played for have been relegated tells you everything about his level. No team that Stephen Hunt plays for is going to be challenging for the top half.
Another left winger? An average one at that? We've already got Malbranque, Reid, Richardson, Zenden, Rivieros (by all accounts), Colback and probably Waghorn who can play there. Thats before we (hopefully) go out and get another creative wide player. Why on earth would we pay upwards of £6m to get Hunt to SAFC?
Your right its a non starter.
one of the daftest statements i've ever read
didn't two of his goals come in a game where he played upfront, possibly against wolves?
he's a workhorse and no more. i never wanted him when we were first linked with him so i certainly don't want him now
Reading finished 8th in the Premier League, only missing out on Europe by one point, when Stephen Hunt was playing for them. The last time I checked, 8th was certainly in the top half.
We already have Henderson, Malbranque, Reid, Richardson, Zenden, Riveros, Campbell and Waghorn who can play out wide.
Any wide players we do sign have to be better than what we already have, Hunt isn't.
he would be an astute signing, dunno why people feel otherwise. steed = can't last a match and 30, zenden = soon to be 34, colback = youngster who will get sporadic games, ricco = left back, reid = unfit.
riveros i dunno where brucey will play, same with waggy. we could do worse is my point
stephen hunt lacks quality and is 29 before the season starts. we could do much better
Separate names with a comma.
