...and only pay £12 million for Zog.....there's a rabbit off here somewhere!
Henderson is English
Young English players are always massively over priced.
Oh Clem please .....
Zog has got a year left on his contract, Henderson's runs until 2015. That plays a big part in any valuation of a player.
if manchester united come in henderson will go for 12M+
if liverpool come in henderson will go for 16M+
It comes down to alot more things than just how good a player is though.
Henderson is English, younger, doesn't want to leave, has longer on his contract and is at a team who finished in the top half.
NZog is foreign, older, has wanted away for ages, will leave on a free once his contract is up and Wigan avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth.
Also Wigan need the money more than we do.
Who's this we limey.
if so...then as much as i like Hendo, we should sell with Catts and yield ±30mill...buy Zog and Larsson....and dig deep and invest in a decent striker
We should be keeping the lad.
Although £20million would be nice if he did leave
and it's called a 4 year contract
I don't think we're in Kansas anymore toto.
do people really mot know how transfer valuations work, Henderson has been compared to Young and now N'Zogbia two players who are out of contract and want to leave their clubs, Henderson has said nothing as yet about leaving and only signed a new contract about 6 months ago, of course he will go for a lot more money.
That's a load of shite, if anyone wants to buy him they'll have to fork out 18mil at least. The fee won't change depending on the interested club.
From my limited experience of PF I'd say there is a few on here who haven't worked this out yet
we should take 18million, plenty of other fish in the sea
he's a boyhood manchester united fan - i'm sure he'd love to be training amongst world class players week in week out.
added to that more wages, the lure of champions league football, increasing his england changes and linking up with welbeck again.
we all know bruce will do anything to keep on the good side of fergie.
No he isn't, he's a boyhood Sunderland fan, all he said was that Beckham, Giggs and Scholes were his heroes when he was younger.
Bruce won't get a say as to what any transfer fee might be, the only input he'd have would be for him to say it should be as high as possible so he gets more money to spend on the team.
He's not going to say "Oh well, it's Fergie so I'll sell him for much less than what we can get elsewhere".
