SAFC have ever had. Certainly in my lifetime. So far so good. Keep up the good work Brucey lad.
Really? Better than when we bought Bent? Fuck off
If he does not sign a left back then it will be dreadful.
So far....if we sign the 3 lads from man u then yes best window ever. Still need a winger and another striker at least.
That concerns me but I have a feeling he'll go with Rico (that does concern me) and O'Shea if he comes in
I dont think any of them get the pulses racing like bent or gyan yet like. Wait and see before i call it best ever solid signings so far.
It will be Richardson, Bardsley and Colback covering LB.
And it wont be "dreadful".
I'd rather spend more on a top class striker.
Richardson, is that the fella that was going to be our left back last year?
As long as he is left footed I don't care if they sign him from Jarrow Roofing
It will be 3 seasons I believe since we identified we need a LB and have failed to get one. Yes it would be bad if we still didn't
And it does not make it mutually exclusive from getting a top striker in. Although I'm doubting that will happen with Gyan, N'Gog, Dong, Campbell already on the cards
Thats the guy.
He was doing a good job until injuries meant he had to play elsewhere.
although that Bardsley chap that replaced him didn't do a bad job iirc......
Square peg in a round hole.
it must be me who hates the transfer window, every single ITK bullshitter, every transfer story and SSN Andy Gray touch screen devices and every manager and journalist unsettling players left right and centre with spurious claims of 'knowledge' and David Craig and others tbf spouting their twice yearly shite of 'a close source to the player' 'a source within the agent world' or the countdown to the transfer deadline where the same small amount of shite is repeated on a constant cycle 'Will Wilfried Zaha join Colchester'
but still on the last day i get sucked into the Sky hyperbole and end up watching it tick down
Sign half a relegated side's midfield.
And all of a sudden you've got a load of blokes masturbating.
Did he do a bad job?
not his fault, but yes. we only use 2/3 of the pitch when he plays lb.
going forward, every time the ball ended up at his feet the pitch became 1/3 smaller. Opposition teams barely bothered to square up to him, they knew where he was headed.
Trying, committment and so forth are not in any way justification for a player. They are a given. He is a limited footballer who is a useful squad player. He can't be left back for another season.
I wonder if Petr Cech "knew where he was heading" when Bardsley whipped the ball into the corner of his net?
Not in the team for goals and if anything, as good as they were, they masked other deficiencies, your post being a case in point.
Defended well, was never afraid to get forward and put at least as many decent crosses over as bad ones.
Who would you sign to replace him?
A left back
Brums forward line last year must be one of the worst ever in the PL (Jerome and Zigic). If it wasn't for Larsson and Gardners goals and assists they would have been relegated months earlier.
Separate names with a comma.
