means nothing tbh
Well it does. It means he's settled here and willing to stay.
Aye, but how many players have said that and then we get a good offer and he moves on? He is hardly going to say, "not sure, i might leave mate".
Gyan said he was staying at the beginning of August iirc.
Fucking hell, who pissed on your cornflakes?
It shows that he's not homesick anymore. If the club want to sell him (I very much doubt they do) then that's another matter all together.
It's called being realistic, i do actually think he will stay because i doubt anybody would pay over about £12m for him anyway.
Just don't believe a word any of them say, MON's quotes about 4 weeks back were more concerning about having to review the situation. If he wants to stay then great obviously, his wife and kids living abroad is still a problem like.
I'm sure Captain Fishpaste said his kids go to the same nursery as one of his family...
I think he has been class for most of the season and I did initially think we should do anything in our power to keep him but the more I think on it i'm starting to think we might be best off cashing in for a high transfer fee and strengthening the squad.
we've seen it before with phillips and kenwynne etc that we turned down reportedly daft bids or knocked back interest when their stock was high only to see them leave for much less down the line.
sess has been great this season but there is nothing to say this will continue, especially in light of rumours he is unsettled. he is coming up to 28 so if we offer him a contract extension we are unlikely to get anywhere near his current value when he does eventually go, also if we just keep him next season on his current deal we will get less for a player with a year left on his contract pushing 30 years old.
Probably not a popular opinion like and my tin hat is firmly on.
somebody said he had registered then for September, but time will tell. O'neill's quotes at the end of march said they were still living in France. When he was suspended they let him go and spend time with them iirc.
That's about as much of a reply you deserve.
is everyone supposed to have the same opinion like? sorry I didn't realise.
nowhere in that article does it say he's staying.
MON says he's not selling his best players and Ellis has backed him. Doesn't matter now. He won't be going.
MON isn't Bruce, if he wants to keep a player he will
Well I often see him in Waitrose in Ponteland and he always seems to be with his wife and kids.
I'll believe he's staying when he's still a Sunderland player on September the 1st, not before.
He's happy to stay so that's a start. It's up to the club to keep him.
b£nt could claim he has unfinished business here? gyan could?
There was nowt wrong with what he said
Ah thanks mate, I think thats the first time someone has stuck up for me on here, I'm touched.
