There have been many false dawns at Roker and the SOL. But I am tingling this morning and that has nothing to do with the state of my underpants. Liverpool were on fire in the first 20 and not many teams would have held on. We did with a bit of luck and grit and thereafter were easily their match. It's all been said, but Brown was immense. Ferdy and Bardo did well too, and Rico after an uncomfortable half did well after the break. Larsson was excellent, he was so pissed off to put that free kick over the bar. I was sure he was going to score, as I think was he! Colback had a very good second half. I thought Catts looked lost in the first half, totally ineffective. But credit to the lad, he got stuck in and finally used his brain in the 2nd half. Never gave them a moment's rest. Elmo had one of his best games, a couple of great crosses in first half, the goal cross...and was up and down the right wing like a good's. Sess was a bit infuriating. He beat them at will, made space for himself, but his shooting was woeful. another day. Gyan was on his own mostly, fought hard, and will do better. Ji looked promising in his half-hour. PLUS the quality we had on the bench. Vaughan will be class, hopefully Gardiner too. O'Shea etc. Wickham to get the winner against the Scum? It's a good sunday morning here in Thailand!
