Red Shorts in '91/'92

Anybody remember seeing us play in red shorts with our Hummel home top back then?

I've got a poster magazine from then with John Byrne on the cover and we're playing in red shorts. Just wondering why and what's the reason for?

Looks like maybe it was our 'away from home' home kit perhaps, similar to wearing white shorts in Reidy's era?

Sometimes away from home we wore the red shorts but im sure we played Charlton at home and wore the red shorts for some reason .

I remember we wore them against Chelsea and Newcastle. Not sure on others, class magazine by the way...

they used to be more fussy about kit clashes, and if our black shorts with an opponents black/blue/other dark coloured shorts, we changed to red
