I wonder who is next
The next statement on safc.com should be to announce that Bruce has been given 15 minutes to clear his office out and fuck off back where he came from.
We don't need this fat Geordie tosser anymore, so we should rid.
Well-thought conspiracy theory, or ramblings of a mongoloid?
for those who aint read it
We owe our people - Quinn
Chairman: 'I would like to emphasise that everyone at this club will face the music together'.
Chairman Niall Quinn admits Sunderland "owes its people" following the defeat at Newcastle.
Apologising to fans for the the performance and result, Quinn has called on his players to bounce back from the club's worst derby defeat in 56 years.
And the chairman has revealed that, as far as he's concerned, the club have a debt to their fans which must be repaid.
"It is entirely appropriate that we apologise to our fans," explained Quinn, speaking exclusively to the club's official website.
"Whilst acknowledging the hurt that this defeat has caused, I would like to emphasise that everyone at this club will face the music together.
"Last night the owner and myself sat and reflected on the day's events and we are as defiant as ever that this club is going to make progess.
"While everybody here is suffering, the players' hurt must be galvanized into a big performance on Saturday.
"I'm not asking anyone to have sympathy for us but we are confident that the solution will be found within the walls of our dressing room. We may have to spend a long time apologising but this entire football club knows that it owes its people right now and for me that is the priority. "
That's an overreaction as generally he has done a decent enough job so far. Saying that i'm a bit concerned that after that long winless streak last year yesterdays performance was very similar in style to a lot of those games.
To be honest i'm loath to change a manager on the back of one performance but if he can't motivate them or get the tactics right for this one then it doesnt bode well for the future......The fact that Martin O'Neil is sitting twiddling his fingers certainly gives you food for thought. Given the amount of compo Bruce would get however i can't see it happening.
I think it is helpful to have it out in the open. Silence from the club would imply taking us for granted.
I am also glad that Ellis Short is involved and is fully aware of the situation having attended the match and talked to Quinn.
He for one will not allow Bruce to go unchecked if this leads to a slump in form. But let's see the reaction over the next three games.
Keep the faith ftm
Will we get our money back? Would be a nice touch, and a small consolation if we did.
So there's Quinn, Bruce, Bent & Bardsley
Next nailed on is Bramble, Cattermole & Henderson.
Last night the owner and myself sat and reflected on the day's events and we are as defiant as ever that this club is going to make progess.
did you get tickets in the end like? and how?
What fucking use is an apology? Fuck off.
Notice he said 'the owner and myself'. No mention of Bruce. Make of that what you will.
Quinn has nowt to apologise for, he didnt pick the team, he didnt put in a gutless performance.
aye, Bruce might have been off mourning the death of one of his closest friends, fancy that
That's what many of the same people that are criticising the club over the apologies would be saying if they had said nowt. Some were just born to twist.
What's the story there marra?
words words words
this aint down to you quinny but i`ve endured year after year of the same old shit same old apologies etc etc
as a start refund my bank account then get rid of this inept fuckwit in charge
bally was let off the last time something of this scale happened due to the loyal service he gave as a player, this wants ran out of sunderland.
Bruce lovers dont waste ya time replying to this
Anyone else concerned that Quinny is again carrying the can for the failings and short comings of another manager who seems to be making slow progress and that is is STEVE BRUCE who should be appologising - not Niall Quinn??
Our beloved legend of an Irish Chairman did sod all wrong yesterday. He didn't ill-prepare the team. Steve Bruce did.
Where is YOUR appology Bruce. I don't want you to leave Steve. There is nobody else on the horizon who could do better than you in a faster time and who would accept the position of Sunderland manager. I just want you to buck up your ideas and make more sweeping, positive movements.
he apologised straight after the game last night
Separate names with a comma.
