And despite this (and the absolute sh*t we watch at the other end of the table week in week out) the Sky boyz on here keep telling us all that's it's miles ahead in quality of any other top tier league in the world...

Fuck sake man, nobody says that. They say it's the best league in the world because it's the most competitive. A team at the bottom could turn over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge like we did last year. You don't see that in the other leagues. Quality wise - no, but nobody thinks that.

Borussia Dortmund's season so far suggests otherwise...all leagues throw up freak results...

No-one apart from Chelsea, City or Utd has won the league in the past 10 years and if you add Arsenal to that list - no-one else has won it in 20 years.

In fact the number of different winners is exactly the same as La Liga whether taken over 3, 10 or 20 years.
And Germany has 5 different winners in the past 11 years - which is more competitive than either the Prem or La Liga.

So yep - you've had to give up on the quality myth after the top Prem teams keep getting easily beaten in Europe - but you still cling to the competitive one...

This has been mentioned before

Our league is shite

This. Why can't people realise that this is what is meant when people call it the best league in the world. It's not because all the teams are better than teams in other countries but because it's consistently the most entertaining division in world football.

I don't even necessarily really believe it myself, I was mainly arguing against people thinking it is the best quality wise, because it clearly isn't and I don't believe anybody thinks that, they are referring to the competitive nature of it. Whether they are right is questionable as you say.

Bad week but that's about it. 2 seasons ago Spanish football was finished because Real and Barca got knocked out of the champions league, the next season both finalists were Spanish.

Alreet Ji have you scored for your new club yet ?

We've won the European cup old money about 3 times in 25 years and have won the uefa cup old money about twice in the same timescale

Our clubs sides aren't a great deal better than our national ones.

Who wins a league and how competitive the league as a whole is, are two different things.

Bundesliga is easily more entertaining and generally better
So why don't Sky pour money into them?

No just go along with it, the league is shite, full of shite players, Turkey and France have far better leagues......which is why nee fucker wants to watch them.

The best league in the world title should be given to the best quality league. But people don't seem to realize the only media outlets that says this are english spoken. And the PL isn't the most competitive league in the world. Romania, MLS, LigaMX, and many more have a case.

Who wins a league and how competitive the league as a whole is, are two different things.

Sky sports pours money on other shit leagues in the UKno one in europe outside of the UK watches. how is that any relevant what an english broadcasting company does? Not that leagues like Bundesliga already sold their rights.
