any stories to relive past glories?
The Sunderland Scorpion Lager Sunday League (or whatever it was called). I should have played higher but somehow slipped through the owld net
goals at Bede college
Woking and Guildford Alliance Premier for me. Would still be playing there if I hadn't moved back up north.
Playing for the mighty SEB Athlethic these days
I 'played' for a club in the Combined Counties 1st Division. However never got picked for the first team squad, and plyed my trade for the reserves Reserve version of the same league.
About 1753 feet.
It was only me kicking a tennis ball to a dog though.
made it to sunderland reserves but a mixture of drink, women and playing shit combined to get me a free transfer to palookaville..
My uncle George got me a game for Southampton once.
My lasses uncle (who is 80 now) used to play for Blackburn as a goalkeeper, Arsenal wanted to buy him but he didn't want to go
got some cracking stories
My dads mate played for sunderland once. Colin Beasely (sp?)
had his name on the back of me shirt
this for me aswell
but best standard was my old royal mail team, north east region when we got to the semi final of national tournament, got beat off ireland.
came up against some awesome players, played as a steady right back and probably above my level but held my own.
probably couldnt have played any other position at that level
Played once for Newbottle primary school against Shiney Row in 94, came on as a sub and told to play left wing, didn't have a clue what "wing" meant so ran about like a headless chicken for 15 minutes.
We drew 1-1 and I never got to play again.
Aston University 2nd team. If anyone wants an autograph just PM me.
