 Just to see who could take the most punishment? You're putting leather amd latex clad women out of business with behaviour like that.

Was with a South African rugby player I was living with in sydney. We got bored after we got back from the pub. So we tried to knock each other out in one punch

Richie Pitt, Vic Halom, Dennis Tuert, Marco, Gary Bennett, Kevin Ball shit loads of others at the same time but I was too pissed to remember.
Also non-players, Bob Murray & Ellis Short.

Ellis apparently wasn't best pleased when I fell off a barstool mortal off the drink he was buying. Saw Vic Halom the next day on Wembley Way and he was laughing his arse off at me. Came over remember my name too and said what a f***ing mess I was.

Dick Malone and Sir Jim for starters! The 73 cup final team are always available - quite sad in some ways given we still go on about them as being the last team to win a trophy for us and might well be doing so for a number of years to come.

Not sure if it counts but i'm usually sober in a pissed environment.
I used to let Justin Hoyte into the club for free. He was a good lad, fairly quiet, kept himself to himself and didn't really get pissed either.
Same for Nyron but he was more outgoing!! Let Titus in when he played for both newcastle and sunderland(not at the same time obviously, although the 5-1 was a close call:))

Lost count of newcastle players old and new. First hand experience of Andy Carroll incidents.
A London lad i know from the club world was mates with Les Ferdinand. He gave Les my phone number and he rang me beforehand to get in a club. He seemed to be a decent fella.

What club

What club

The "Club" is a collection/generalisation of venues ive worked.
Justin was nearly always the same Saturday night one though. Nyron the same Sunday night venue, the same for Titus.
Most people will know about the Andy Carroll club incident but it was a different one for his knee injury.

Les Ferdinand was a long time ago in a main club. He was playing for newcastle at the time.

Andy Melville and David Kelly. Both were in Annabels. Told Melville he was shit and asked Kelly why they stuck him on the wing.

Rooney and giggs in a casino in Manchester. Had a long chat with giggs. Quality banter and slagged lee sharpe off.
Giggs like an excited teenager.
Giggs as thin as a rake, giggs nothing to him at all.

But my all time great is George Best
He drunk white wine spritzers was brilliant craic. Had every and I mean every woman swooning, looked immaculate in his suit and scruffy beard and was a tue gentleman. Superb night out. He was doing a sportsman dinner and had come out after. Asked to join us and I was the only one who recognised him.
Didn't get drunk either.
Good times.

My marra was down in London in the 80s for a cup final he'd gone down as a steward which he often did think it was the Watford final

Him & his marra just went into this quiet little boozer off the beaten track

Only one other person in the bar yes

George Best

Just having a quiet drink his own my marra just left him to it

I wasn't pissed, but I once bumped into Kenwynne Jones in the lift at the Prince Bishops in Durham, felt I had to say something so just asked how he was, he replied "it's a bit cold" to which I replied " you should try running around a bit more"

Catts smashing up a bar in durham, gatesy a few times, darren holloway passed out in cafe rock with staff putting there fingers down his throat. The best was carsten fredgaards mrs in newcastle. He went home early and we chatted her up. Very obliging young lady!!

How obliging? And none of this 'gentlemen don't tell' bollocks.

surprised nobody has mentioned Horswill, surely every man and his dog has met him, he'd turn up for the opening of a f***ing door
