Pickford's future

Instead of people discussing when he is likely to leave and for how much It would be refreshing to hear supporters discuss how the club could keep him long term and start building a team around him.

You never know, he might actually be happy to stay and if all he ever reads is stuff about how and when he will leave that might actually undermine his desire to stay.

Until we start being able to keep hold of our best young players we will be doomed to mediocrity.

Any club with a talent like Pickford on their hands has the choice of either trying to keep him and trying to drag the club upto a level where his ambitions can be achieved by staying at the club or just cashing in and resigning the club to future struggle.

If he goes on to be as good as it looks he is going to be we have no chance of keeping him long term. However it will be much more financially beneficial if we keep him for the next couple of years while he is developing then sell him

He is doing really well at the moment and we need to keep him in the team, I initially thought taking him out for Mannone would be better for him short term as we weren't doing very well but thankfully our form has improved and he doesn't have as much to deal with

Depends who he has got as his agent i guess.

Only sell if HE wants to leave. Until that moment tell them all to fuck off

Apparently Henderson didnt actually want to leave, but the club told him he was going as they wanted the money from Liverpool. So him wanting to stay is not necessarily going to mean he stays.

He's already getting into the England squad, has fairly recently signed a new contract and is a MLF. Can't see why he'd want to leave.

And just look at mignolet, appreciated and loved here, ridiculed and hated at Liverpool.

Anyone who thinks a bigger club won't come and snatch the better players of a smaller club is naive. Not to mention the fact that the owner and manager might want to sell. Even Man Utd had to sell Ronaldo eventually

That buzz he got when he went sick after making that last minute save, he'll never feel anything like that anywhere else
went home sick?

It will turn into a bidding war which we can only benefit from.

I dont want him to leave as he has really settled in well and made some crucial, world class saves. He really is looking the real deal, but if a daft bid is made we have to sell for the benefit of the club.

It really will make no difference whatsoever.

Up to him. He is living the dream. Stupid money bid, the club will go for it. Keeper and Central midfield for England. if only we could have kept them

Don't get me wrong If a stupid offer comes in, I understand the club selling. But at the moment the lad has played what is it 12 games.

Stand firm and if he wants to stay keep him
