Pearce Leaving Forest

The fact he was so highly regarded by our esteemed FA shows what a clusterfuck our national game is.

Old boys network = archaic shithouses.

But its ok we're gonna win the World Cup in 2018 or 2022....

Nothing a matter with the old boys network sometimes, as it means the right men get fast tracked sometimes, as happens in Holland, but when the "old boy" is Stuart Pearce, you have big f***ing problems.

Name one manager that is part of the 'old boys network' that's currently doing a good job.

errrr where did I say there was one?

What is the official quota of Old boys network

Have you got an alumni of them, I am a bit out of date with my official graduations

Why did Freedman leave Palace for Bolton?

With hindsight, a crazy move.

Any explanation?

That's a load of shit. The old boys network is everything that's wrong with our FA and all the way up to FIFA.

The FAs coaching geniuses stay in their protected bubble picking up decent salaries for being bang average and rarely called to task and the ones who actually stick there head above the parapet usually fail spectacularly.

We are the laughing stock of the world football when it comes to coach education and the standard of coaches we produce.

So yeah the old boys network is great.

Extraordinary leaving Palace after finally getting them out of trouble, landing at another club in trouble (Bolton) with a huge wage bill, and now going to Forest under a transfer embargo. He might be a troubleshooter* type of Manager? It does appear so. Heads to roll at Forest? (* Like when a business is making losses, someone comes and shakes everything up and puts noses out of joint.)

Southgate's doing no better with the U21s than Pearce did the first 4/5 years he was with them. And Pearce is worse than shit according to the wise heads on this thread!

Were they thinking his passion would be enough

All you have to do is look at the England u21s and how well they're doing under Southgate to show up Pearce on the technical/tactical side.

pffft what passion? any respect i had for "Psycho" Pearce went when he was bullied like a wet sap at the 2010 World Cup by Capello

Steve Mcclaren
Sam allerdyce
Gareth Southgate

There's 3

Only Gareth Southgate is a fully fledged member of the FA's old boys network from the three you mention and he has failed everywhere and has now been welcomed back to the bosom of the FA to severely hamper the developed of our next generation!

The FA coaches like John Peacock, Noel Blake, Nigel Pearson etc lauded as the best thing since sliced bread but either never leave their comfortable positions or when they do fail 99.9% of times....to be then welcomed back! Ridiculous.
