On BBC 1 now.
Absolutely shocking, the poor buggers deserve better than this!
Why on earth would you watch a program about pensioners getting filled in?
Just showing the footage of that fucking cunt hitting that poor woman.
The fucker should be strung up.
This the fucking bastard
Only got 18 months in the end. Out in 12 probably. People caught carrying out this kind of abuse should have their work permits rescinded immediately and be deported.
Market forces.....pay peanuts, get monkeys.
On a serious note there's not many people work harder in their jobs than care home assistants....12 and 13 hour shifts are the norm and lets be honest about it they are wiping the arses of old people because in a lot of cases their own children are busy elsewhere making money in another part of the country.....they have abrogated their responsibilities to their own parents.
In no way can you condone the ill treatment but it's a hard, stressful job looking after old people and paying minimum wage means that generally you aren't getting Einstein for your £6/hour.
Terrible, the management didn't reckon it wasn't gross misconduct, what did they want a corpse!
I've never wanted to twat someone I don't know so much in my life.
My bloods boiling here, would do hard time for that ****!
They'd probably do a better job.
You're right about market forces, but if they're not doing the job properly they shouldn't be kept on. Anyone taking on a job like that should be doing it properly no matter what they're paid. I wouldn't be too happy if the kid at the checkout on minimum wage just told me to scan my own stuff through whilst he went off to watch the telly. They wouldn't stay in the job long, so why do they in care homes?
This? Since when did not being paid very much/as much as you want become an excuse for being shite at your job or even going out of your way to do it wrong?
For a start, if you start being better at your existing job you're more likely to get paid more.
Agreed. If you have a major problem with your job, take it to your employer, don't take it out on the helpless, in this case particularly, customers.
In some parts of the country (not here in Sunderland) you just can't get anyone semi-literate to work those kind of shifts, doing that kind of work for minimum wage so (literally) anyone gets taken on.....the amount of immigrants doing this work is frightening.....how can you possibly do valid CRB checks on them.
disgusting had to stop watching that like.
Theres some vile bastards around.
i have to agree with that.
a few months ago my mother needed round the clock care after another stroke and had to go into a care/respite home for a few weeks. she went into grampian house at peterlee and i was amazed at the way the staff looked after the old folk in there. the caring, patience and compassion they showed her and the others was very humbling.
Yeh but remember the outcome of their findings.. "It was an isolated incident" I can't believe they were gonna let them back to work n'all!
