Only one defeat in five.

We've had three piss easy away games. In fact, in terms of last season's league positions we've had the easiest two away games we'll have all season.
Absolutely no such thing in the Premier League.

Liverpool lost 3-1 at West Ham, who finished on the same points as us. Man Utd drew 0-0 at Burnley, having spent £150m. If Liverpool or Man Utd called those types of matches 'piss easy' I'd say it was being disrespectful at best. For f***ing SUNDERLAND to say it :)... it's so ridiculous it's beyond belief.

We've finished in the top half of this division 3 times about 50 years, have finished 13th or below in 7 of the last 8 seasons, and survived last year by a miracle akin to being struck in the balls by lightning on 87 consecutive occasions.

I remember a few seasons ago (under Keane) the BBC said we were unbeaten in 5 game (we won one then drew 4). sky sports was saying on the same day that we hadn't won in 4  it depends what angle you look at everything

Including 3 away games . Heh things are looking up , steady progress . Well done gus and the lads.
What a load of shite.

No wins in five games. Played 3 of the 5 teams below us, but can't beat any of them. A season of struggle is on the cards unless Poyet starts to win games. As has been pointed out, two wins and three hammerings has us in a far better position. MON had us drawing lots of games and playing mind numbing boring footie, and was sacked for it. It's early days but the signs aren't great. It certainly isn't progress. It's more of the same shite we've endured for a long time.

Don't know what people are complaining about - bunch of bedwetters, we only have one defeat in five! If we keep this up (1 defeat / 4 points every 5 games) we will have only been beaten 7-8 times by the end of the season!!

and finish with 30 points.. oh wait..

At least we are ticking over points-wise, if nowt else.
Indeed four from fifteen points if that's what you call 'ticking over'.

Yes and we'll garner around thirty points for the season as you've made a little less than clear

We simply aren't good enough to be winning games regularly in the PL. Better buckle up because it will be another long season and always going to be.

Massive deficiencies in the side weren't addressed in the summer.

I'll bury this thread.

Tidied. The OP must be a mag WUM if he can think he can paper over the cracks with this sugar coated nonsense. Fact remains is as an attacking force we are weak and ineffective. We need more of a cutting edge about us if we are to move forward.

Couldn't have put it better myself, I'd take a point away at the big clubs but at home and games like yesterday you have to do everything possible to take all three.
It stinks of MON when he was content playing against a 10 man Swansea for a long period of the game being dominated and getting a point.

Draws are second best and should always be seen as that.

Gus was wanting the strikers to step up and be selfish and unselfish, how about playing the game in a way that involves them without their backs to goal or stuck out wide.

And we will be relegated with 31pts

This will only look any good, if we get at least 4 points from next 2 home games.....think we could be the draw specialists this season !
