Wish me well folks!
I'm off around town
Good luck! I love night photography so I'll be very interested interested to see your results.
im off out tonight aswell, full moon n all, should be fun.
Ferk me. first effort and it was far from fun, mainly because of the run of bad luck I had.
Had a right chew on with the tripod, albeit a freebie with the camera it's well fiddly, it was HOT and humid so I was slightly chewed and I "think" I might have ran a red light.... it was a close call.
Oh and I stood in camel shit. great
I'll have a shower and throw a few up
Them files kill my computer like - get thysel on Flickr
I know sorry mate, I've got to use imageshack becuase flickr is banned out here :-(
can you use photobucket?
Yes mate, it appears I can. Do I have to register?
yeah i think so, used them for years and always been good, loads of free storage too.
That's what I use for my competition entries. Works well.
Got bored, so decided to find somewhere without much light pollution.
Harder to find than I thought...
Your first mistake was point the camera a fuck load of lights.
Lovely shot fella.
Would make a great entry for this month's comp.
If only it had been taken for the comp that is
Some nice shots there. I tried to go out the other night but the mosquitoes were unbearable. Looks like I'll have to wait until the colder weather.:-(
Those are excellent shots - I hope mine for the compo come out half as good as them (which they won't ).
Great shots. It's a lot harder than you might think to get away from LP in this country. I sometimes get up to Kielder at new moon, which is about as dark as you can get in England and Wales but you can still see orange glows from Carlisle and Tyne & Wear.
There are some useful maps on the Campaign for Dark Skies website:
The missus got some decent start trail shots somewhere near beamish that didn't have much LP. We want to go up to keilder to do some but she's lost her bloody remote for the camera!!
Nice shots as well mate
