With the big guy announcing his retirement at half time I would like to start off the appreciation thread.

Big Guy, I will never forget you, especially your heroics in goal vs Bradford at the Valley.

All the goals, the flicks and the drama. Thanks.

Niall Quinn's Disco pants are the best,
They go up from his arse to his chest,
They are better than Adam and the Ants
Niall Quinns... Disco Pants.

Repeat till throat is sore

Many many thanks to the big man.
He will always be remembered on Wearside and by Sunderland fans around the world for his football, generosity, intelligence and for his plain niceness.
Thank you Quinny,
Good luck in all you choose to do.

Niall Quinn has proven to be the best £1.5m anyone has spent on an ageing player, EVER.
I think SAFC should now build a statue to the Big Man, as a thankyou for keeping us going for the last six years.
All hail the Mighty Quinn!

A true, honest, genuine bloke.
Never be forgotten.

Thanks big fella.

The club, and indeed the football world is a sadder place for Quinny's retirement.

Respect to the guy for knowing when to call it quits.

Niall Quinn, Legend, True Gent.
