Haven't seen a thread on it so thought I'd start one to give the lad some credit.
Great hit, son.
dare I suggest the keeper should have done a bit better....?
Find of the season for £350k.
you may as well.
At the match I thought no but having watched it again, I reckon yes, it is a decent height for him and wasn't in the corner like I thought it was at the time. If Gordon had conceded it, that hysterical Gordon thread on here tonight would be 50 more pages long.
Still, full credit to McClean.
indeed...great strike......butif that had been Gordon....
thought it was a cracking free kick on first viewing
still a good hit but after seeing the replay keeper should save it
agree. as soon as we got the free kick i thought, who's going to take this? no larrson or gardner.
then back of the net...
The craic to a man round us was
"fuck, did not know he could do that like"
I feared Bardsley. I said to my mate though that it was better suited for a left footer just before it was taken and up he stepped.
Got it over the wall and gave the keeper a job, that's all you can ask.
But it has to be said that the goalie totally, totally fucked it up.
he should take coaching lessons from walter.
It was a beaut and one of the few good points of a poor game...
you would have made about 200 posts complaining about it.
From where I was at he seemed to clip it at the exact instant the ref blew the whistle! Probblies gave the keeper as big a shock as it gave me!
only M.Ashley if someone came on here saying it wasn't his fault. I would say though that I would have had absolute confidence in CG saving the shot...
Aye that's what I thought, didn't have time to blink in the time from the whistle to it hitting the back of the net
even townsend was wrong
we had a player in the wall who peeled of
great free kick
