Just a thought like.
Don't go there mate, I suggested that and was slated
If there was ever a player who was winger it is James McClean. Head down and run type player. That's not much good as an out and out striker but very dangerous for a winger
He works back so much and helps the full back out, which is a big bonus for us, so for that reason amongst others I would keep him on the wing
Never a striker in a month of Sundays....lots of potential though as a winger!
nope, defo a winger. Composed as he is, he would be wasted up top.
For me he stands out because of his direct running, wicked delivery and general wing play. A winger all day long.
you were wrong though, as per.
Wouldn't mind seeing him swap wings occasionally to see how he does.
could see him being used as an emergency striker if you needed a goal in last 10 mins, especially if you have got Connor and Dong on the bench
He definately likes getting in the box and has an eye for a goal scoring opportunity.
Scored a great goal today and I hope it doesn't get forgotten just because we lost.
Really needs to work on his right foot. Caught us out a few times today as he needed to switch feet.
That's a bit unfair tbh and quite lazy by your standards.
What I said was that, in emergencies, I'd be happy to see him pushed inside.
I explained that it would be in a match such as when we lost Wickham or Bendtner early on and needed a striker. Making some fucking stupid comment is poor tbh and I thought you had more about you.
Do you ever have your own original opinion or do you just go around the board sniping at people who do?
So was I. But IIRC he was playing as a striker for Derry and was identified as such when he came to us.
Doesn't mean we should use him in this capacity, but a left side of Bridge at lb and Rico at lw and McClean and Sess up front might not be too bad.
If it 'aint broke...
He's doing well at LW, leave the kid there.
Oh, I agree. Just playing with options.
scored another good goal today, whats that he's on now? 4,5? not bad for a winger. just a shame we lost the game
I don't mean this badly, but that sounds like the Steve Bruce school of team planning.
Separate names with a comma.
