7 Years ago this Saturday coming, didnt thinkit was that long ago like :-(
There's a picture of him lying collapsed on the pitch,it's been on here before, shocking, very sad.:-(
Those 7 years have flown past like.
Just seen the photo.
Nearly made me sick.
The photo is on Google images. That's the first time I have seen it and it is truely awful. Can't believe it was 7 years ago. R.I.P
I remember watching that match.. The way his eyes roll into the back off his head is sickening :-(
I watched that just before I went out to play football, everyone on the pitch was shaken up by it, was a very weird atmosphere.
still turns my stomach to see that image, i even start to well up a bit...truly awful
mind you i didnt know this many had died whilst playing
watched it at the time... 7 years ago man!!!.... christ!
I remember watching a game a short while after he passed away. Cameroon vs France or something. They had a minutes silence and loads of tributes. I was only young and ended up in tears watching the tributes.
7 years ago. Unbelievable really.
Used to love him as a footballer like! I remember watching the game also. :-(
I think this was the match i'm referring to. Might be wrong. But that huge picture they had certainly makes me think im not.
IIRC that Cameroon vs France game was about an hour or so later, I still don't understand why they didn't call the match off.
Edit: now I come to think of it, it was the final but France played someone or over straight after, I remember Henry scoring and pointing to the sky.
That's the one that should have been called off.
I was 14 at time .... he'd scored against us at home and away the season before the confed cup...
Hated him for it !!
you know as a teenage football fan you have stupid hatreds to players who do well against your club , i still have them now ... But i would never wish what i saw that day on any one it was horrendous, the images of him on the stretcher
I was only 11/12 at the time. Can't remember watching the game where it actually happened (i wasnt a massive football fan back then so unless i had an interest in the teams i wouldnt be watching) but i certainly watched the games with the tributes.
Aye, I noticed that list on Wiki when I was browsing a while back and couldn't believe how many were on it
Rest in peace
Tragic things happen on and off the football pitch, RIP.
Whilst the death of any young person is tragic, for some reason the incidents of footballers who die on the pitch are always particularly gut wrenching for me.
The video of Miklos Feher on youtube accompanied by the Moby song never fails to bring a tear to my eye.
The reaction of his (and Foe's) team mates speak volumes. Utterly tragic. RIP.
