Don't give a fuck about nowt you mate.
Like a young John Rambo. With wifi.
It doesn't make any valid comparisons at all. It's just extrapolation based on some (very) broad similarities in CVs between people with completely different characters, working in different set-ups and cultures.
The schadenfreude of laughing at saggychops will wear off in a few weeks and we will be stuck with a bloke who can't handle high expectations and big players egos.
It'll be a nice to change to have a manager in charge that can actually speak the language.
So do you think Redknapp would have been a much better choice then, or do you think we should have gone for someone else? I'm not against Redknapp, but I really think its a pretty close run thing between him and Hodgson and just think the media outcry about it has been a joke- if we want an English manager Hodgson is as good a shout as Redknapp, particularly in the long term
Redknapp would have more respect amongst the players, he's one of the lads. Hodgeson always comes across like a grandad, a bit of a dinosaur.
I agree but is that really a good thing- we don't particularly want the players thinking they've got one of the lads in charge imo. Like I said, I'm not massively in favour of either, tbh I think its a fairly depressing choice to have, but I feel that in terms of putting the hard work in at more than just the senior squad level, Hodgson will be better. I felt that Redknapp would be better for the euros as there would be a boost due to him being "one of the lads" but we need to be phasing "the lads" out and replacing them, I think he'd cling onto them and therefore I think he'd be a worse option long term. Even with Redknapp we wouldnt get near to winning the euros so theres no need to go for the slightly better in the short term option. I'd be okay with either being appointed, if we want English there's fuck all out there, but the media are going on as if its some disgraceful decision when it really isnt
Lack of managerial talent is a real problem in England.

help me out
what is your point?
I asked you this before and I see you swerved it. What are Dirty Harry's credentials exactly? What has he won? How is he doing with the extremely talented squad he has now? Why do players like Modric want away?
stop being right
dammit, he sounds like a jock to me in interviews...
Excluding Ferguson there is no great difference in the two lists and Rodgers is from Nothern Ireland.
Imho he can't handle the pressure of an England job. The first bump in the road and we'd see snotty interview after snotty interview which would feed the press even more and it'd wind up with him throwing the toys out of the pram and quitting.
