A HDR Donkey is better like.
Oversharpened duck I find essential in my composition these days
I've got one of those....
An excellent choice
Been playing with it tonight, sturdy bugger mind!
did you get legs only, ball head, or the axis, tilt shift based (name escapes me what they are actually called) one?
my only complaint with it is the bag it comes with makes it annoying lugging about a bit but the build quality is great for the price like, i've been out with it in quite ridiculous winds and it hasn't effected the camera
You can invert the centre column for macro work as well, i'm considering getting a ball heed for better practicability when traveling about, but I have a very long list of photography equipment i've convinced myself i need
Got it with the tilt shift head as you describe it, yer I saw that about inverting it in the manual. Seems like it'll last a lifetime, canny but for 120 quid
Got a link for the mat... wrong forum...
Got a link to the tripod and head, might order one myself.
You lot are going to cost me a bloody fortune!
Mine didn't come with a bag, so I bought myself a Manfrotto MBAG 90P That has, so far kept my tripod safe through well over 1000 flights.
getting myself back down that spot tonight about 6.30 after the sun has gone down, gonna try this long exposure craic again. Also got a few graduated ND filters now if the light is still too bright.
I take it you're going down to the river or somewhere with moving water? I nearly creamed my pants the first time I got a long exposure working. Milky indeed
yer theres some very small rapids and a bridge behind it i'm gonna try get in
Wear some wellies and get right in there! I tend to find with rapids less is more, you get a better feeling of the motion with a short exposure, say half a second or so. The temptation is always there to shoot for as long as possible but this often means you get a still or misty / milky look rather than one of motion. You'll know what you want when you get there like. It'll be great fun. Hoy them up on here when you're done la!
already crossed my mind about the wellies!
I'll have a play about and if i get any half decent ones i'll put them in my flickr
