Anyone use these? just downloaded hundreds
Tried a few of the ones that come installed, but never found any that I have actually used. Any good ones?
I've downloaded two big packets (one has 437) and a smaller lot of B&W ones. might have a play about tonight.
i've made my self a couple for my work flow; mainly for skin and black and white finishing touches.. I find the pre-made ones to be abit over the top and often over saturated.
I love my black and white work flow; took ages to perfect.
Don't use presets purely for the reason that you don't learn anything that way.
If you want to create a particular look then I believe you should learn how to... all you learn through using presets is to just put your brain in neutral and click on something.
Each to their own though and I know a lot of people use them.
i take it that it adjust the sliders etc though which could be a guiding hand on how and why certain alterations are happening.
If you're gonna bother learning anything it should be Photoshop TBH.. lightroom gimps you IMO, but it's good for quick simple adjustments, lens corrections and as a method of organising your photographs..
Yeah it does but unless you really understand what each individual slider does then it won't tell what each one has changed, and will mean you can't work it out still
I'm always unsure about my editing due to me using a TV as my monitor, if I edit and upload to flickr etc it always looks different on my works computer, even though I've calibrated them both via the same website.
You edit using a TV?
Not heard of that before... you aren't doing this because you're watching tv on your monitor at the same time are you?
my computer is hooked up to a 32" TV in the bedroom cause i also use it for watching films etc.
Ahh ok... you probs want to invest in a quailty monitor tbh as soundzs like the TV won't ever give you the best results.
thats what i thought anarl, yet more cash.....
Aye welcome to my world
I've got this monitor:
Cost me £256 but it's mint
Could probably do with some more RAM anarl, currently got 4GB
Aye that's not a lot really... tbh no idea how much I have but my pc handles photoshop no probs so must have a decent amount.
Was cursing my lack of hard drive space though a couple of days back when I got a warning about being out of space... turns out I have a 600 gig hard drive, and the problem was just the millions of photos on there
Had to fork out for another external HD to move everything on to
Hard disk space is a nightmare, I have about 60gb left of 6tb of external drives, that is without any of it being backed up
You're probs due for a cull I reckon but can understand why that would be hard to do. I haven't deleted any pics even rejected ones in 2 years
I bet you do
