anyone going this year??
where you all camping??
I am aye, think im going yellow, quite a few people i know going have all said they're heading there but im not sure really. how about you? who you looking forward to most?
ive heard bad things about yellow like, but i suppose if your careful. im going red myself, more of a happy medium of parties, and getting some sleep. cant wait for the strokes & the horrors myself.
2 saturday tickets for sale here.
I was well up for going but the person I was going with is now destined for Egypt that weekend after the family booked a holiday. :-(
aye that's why i wasn't sure about it, only debating it cause i know people who will be there. went blue last time which was ok. the strokes should be good aye, looking forward to it now like!
think its a lot to do with location really, close to the arena, so its going to be filled with drunk louts on a night.
Mate got his whole bag stolen in Yellow last year, we are going in White again I think
Aye second year, in red probs
It's my first festival so Im really looking forward to it, Ive purchased my tent for it last week, 2 man pop up from go outdoors £20 which got me in the mood.
Bands Im looking forward to the most are:
will be good mate, but one thing, pop up tents arent the best, prone to leaking, so you gotta hope for good weather
think the saturday looks shite like.
Ive heard that too, Im having the tent to myself so as long as I stay in the middle and dont touch the sides I should be ok.
I hate the friday line up the most theres only two good bands on that day, I think the NME tent on the saturday is good I dont think Ill be stepping outside it all day.
did have a ticket for the full weekend, but im off to Swansea instead, new ground and get to avoid the mud
yeah see for me its great, i like muse, the view & interpol, but i agree about the saturday nme stage, hope to see frankie&heartstrings (purely cause there from sunderland) miles kane, naked and famous & the vaccines, then off to FR for the horrors, which should be great as the majority will want to see either MCR or Beady Eye
Going on the Sunday if anyone has 2 reasonably priced tickets available. Camping in the Travelodge.
I suppose it depends what you're after. If you want a good nights kip when you finally turn in, without someone falling on/pissing on/setting fire to you tent, you want green or brown. I like to get back to the tent and sit around the fire without gangs of feral youth stampeding everywhere and without having to listen to the dutch bloke on the fair all night.
As usual, I will be ignoring all of the traffic signs and bowling straight into the brown car park so I only have to carry the gear about half a mile into brown. I've learned from bitter experience that a short gear carry and a long walk to the arena is > a long gear carry and a short walk.
The saturday is like the old rock day that used to always be a friday. Slim pickings if you're not a rocker - you need to work the tents to find good stuff.
Leeds festival camping = the last days of Rome.
Only in the dafties sites though. Honestly, brown is a different world.
yellow bubble is usually ok, as long asd you dont camp right beside the DJ tent *le regret*
weekend ticket still to shift like
I imagine it's full of wacky Pell types running around with their underpants hanging out of their jeans.
thats why its so awesome
