Fawning over hooliganism again I see.
Wisla won 1-0 meaning Cracovia are relegated. Will be a shame not to have this derby next season.
IF that was the north stand how many would moan they couldnt see
Judging by the amount of knives found on that bus, I'm not entirely convinced this is a sentiment shared by many others. Well, apart from the fans who want to kill each other.
I was over Krakow with a few mates at the start of November and it ended up falling on the same weekend as the home leg for Cracovia.
We needed to show our passports to buy tickets and then have photos taken front and side view like in a prison
Walking to the match wasn't half scary on the Sunday, a few taxi drivers and barmen had told us not to go as it was 'The Holy War' separated by a field like Stanley Park known as the battlefield!
When we were going in, again you were treat like a prisoner. You had to stand under the turnstile while a camera confirmed it was your photo on the ticket, then be very thoroughly frisked by a massive baldy Polish bloke.
I thought we were going to get killed just for saying 'excuse me' to reach our seats, but luckily we got there. We were right next to the singing section where blokes wearing balaclavas stood on top of the concrete access to get the chanting going.
It was the most tense and surreal atmosphere I've been in. It was scary at times but it absolutely pisses all over the 'sit there quietly with a flask of tea' support in England.
Luckily for us, it turned out Cracovia won 1-0 that day, beating Wisla for the first time in 30 years we were told. It was absolutely insane.
Yep the Police are going to have their work cut out for them this summer. A lot of foreign fans won't like to be treated like Polish hooligans. I was in Warsaw the other week and the stadium there looks good.
