Is it ok to jailbreak if the phone has been unlocked to any network?
yeah mine is network unlocked and recently jailbroken, still maintains the unlock
Cheers mate, what did you use to jailbreak it?
It was a bit of a fucker this time to jailbreak, had it jailbroken on 3.1.2 but stupidly updated to ios4 without waiting for a jailbreak version to come out. so I had to downgrade back to 3.1.2 jailbreak that with redsn0w then upgrade to ios4 with a customized ipsw made with sn0wbreeze.
not as complicated as it sounds once you've done it but took a few botched attempts to get it right in the end.
Makes the phone so much better when it's jailbroken
"Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to run third-party unsigned code on their devices by unlocking the operating system and allowing the user root access. Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many extensions and themes previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia and Rock Your Phone. A jailbroken iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch is still able to use the App Store and iTunes."
Can you use it as a phone though?
Whey! I`ve heard the signal cuts out when you hold it up to your ear.
