Has pennywell been nocked down?
Hard to tell
To be fair it's not as bas as a lot of people make out.
We drive through on the way to the match when we collect my uncle at Hastings Hill.
I've seen far worse places in Nottingham.
i live in pennywell and its really not that bad, they moved most of the shite to other areas.
the top end and plasy square has long gone like, plasy has new houses on it, named hartley wood.
You must know, you cant spell
I remember when it was all fields.
Now the Academy 360, Most of Pennywell is still standing and most of it is an ok average housing estate, defiantly not as bad as it's reputation makes out.
I started of at Greenwood square, then to Dene Street, Doxy for years then Ryhope, Pallion and now were at Pennywell and we love it.
It was when I was a young lad
I had to walk past the fuckers when I was in the first and second years of St Adians.
yeah, i was at Havelock st. aidans (derilict) for two years, pennywell /ford was like Belfast them days. my brother has lived on pennywell for 30 years, its all he knows (st, Pats garth before that). looks better than it was , but i wouldnt choose to live there. apparently Ford is nearly gone?
Aye, they knocked down loads of the house's but have never rebuilt new ones on there, disgrace really.
It's gone back to being all fields.
Grew up in Pennywell and went to Pennywell Grammar, did me nee harm.
Some of my best ever mates are Pennywellers...a legendary part of town
I bet you were good at history
It is indeed. And the Eagle was a legendary boozer in a legendary part of town. Can remember when the estate had three pubs, it's got neen now!
And geography, maths and sarcasm.
Useless at everything else like.
I'm sure I read the other day that cleared land at Ford Estate and Marley Pots has been sold to private developers. I think there's about 80 new houses planned for Marley Pots.
