Eloquent title. Anyway, turns out a shower that was bought on Friday won't play ball - the 'low pressure' light keeps coming on. The shower was fitted by a plumber and he's more than happy with the water pressure. He inferred it may be the PCB inside the unit. Having already spent a stupid amount on buying and installing the shower my father's decided that it's going back instead of having the manufacturer send an engineer out (potentially more money). As the unit has already been used (couldn't really tell otherwise) what's the likelihood of this particular electrical retailer taking the product back or exchanging it for another? Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 the onus is on the retailer the prove the unit was up to the job at the time of sale? However, it needed to be installed before anyone could know. Thoughts?
