The desktop might be able to find the password by brute force after 1 second, but the chances of it entering the correct one is almost impossible, the fact is most banks will lock you out after a few unsuccessful attempts anyway.

Put in last winning lottery numbers and it can find that in an hour.

It would take a desktop PC
About 360 septemvigintillion years
to hack your password

My work one says

It would take a desktop PC
About 1 billion years
to hack your password

but my home one says about ten days

another one I have says "instantly"

6 days for my RTG password

778000 years for my paypal one.

my main master password - About 3 septillion years

(which I changed by adding a 4 digit number to the end after testing it)

I don't even know my password for getting on here, I use lastpass, and tell it generate secure passwords for all my sites, cool as owt - and removes the weak link (me). Mind if I forget the master, I is fucked.

Without googling...what are the top ten most common passwords according to the site mentioned in the original post ?

It would take a desktop PC
About 778 thousand years
to hack your password

But what I find strange one of the passwords you would think to be insecure would take 1 million years to crack.

111111111111111111111

22 ones

My work password:

About 423 million years

That'll do, I guess

Mind, can we now say that cunt is no longer a special word - its in the top 430 passwords!
