Would solve people going back on promises?

That's what referendums are for.
Indeed and sometimes you just need to tell little lies.
all were committed to reducing the deficit to £80bn by 2015...which is the target yesterday...
doesn't look like anything will change regarding promises by any party...just a game to get elected..
might have to have a few riots for them to take any notice...worked with the poll tax..
You cant just knock things on the head till we have a referendum all the time, sometimes things need dealing with straight away
they have mayo on their fries instead of ketchup
Anarchy. You'd have LAWYERS 4 U putting in suit after suit on behalf of the feckless millions who think that money springs from fresh air.
