Some one pointed out the other day that in Raiders of the Lost Arc nothing that Indiana Jones did throughout the entire film actually affected the out come of the plot. If you think about it he didn't stop the bad guys from getting the Arc and they came to a sticky end simply because the opened it. Jones's only role was to irritate them while they went about their business.

Did they claim it as their own thoughts or had they just watched the big bang theory where they dedicate an entire episode to that?

If feel quite sullied now. I usually avoid people who watch American situation comedies like the plague but this was in the Daily Telegraph so I suppose I should have know better. It was a good point though.

Did he not potentially save millions of lives? After all, because he was there he knew that you couldn't look at the things that come out of the arc. If he wasn't there loads of other people would have thought "what the fucks this thing with all these git dead Germans around it", opened it and died themselves.

Plus him being there meant that it went to some good place where they could lock it away from baddies

Was he the guy that caused his missus to have amnesia after killing his bit on the side, or was that the white haired chap that enjoyed prostitutes?
