Anyone any idea of when he will be back? Need him to play and get himself a new contract IMO
another one that is surplus due to our cash restraints
Sad to say, but I think Bruce wrote him off a long time ago. Be shocked (though happy) if he was given another contract
I got the feeling a while ago that he just doesn't like him, someone else for him to blame.
Has made some snide comments about him...a bit similar to the way he was always calling on Jones to put more effort in.
The result will likely be the same (are Stoke after a goalie?)
Begovic looks fine for now, but its Stoke...
And this. The amount of times Bruce publicly slates his 'keepers is amazing really.
Ive heard Gordon won't be signing a new contract as he was unhappy with Bruce slating him after we lost 3-2 to stoke last year, hope it isnt true like i rate him.
If we don't give him a new contract we wont get back any of the 9 million we bought him for, bad business.
Not fucking soon enough.
And if Bruce is the reason he won't sign a new contract, there's another reason to sack the twat.
Don't think he'll sign one now. He'll go in January imo
To be honest, I wouldn't miss either of them like.
That was one of his worst performances that day. He certainly didn't have much fun in the physical battles. I'd be surprised if he was to turn down a new contract because of some comments like those.
I don't think we'd have any more points on at this stage if Gordon had played in goal from the start of the season.
what, Bruce in a shocker 'it's not my fault it's my players' statement after a loss
Teflon Steve is never to blame, he has such a high opinion of himself
Gordon is easily..in fact very easily our best keeper but Teflon doesn't seem to like him. He will not be here next season which is such a shame as if he can stay injury free there are not many better
Hopefully the situation will be resolved by Bruce being sacked before Craig Gordon can go anywhere and someone comes in who offers him a new contract, although the failure to offer him one so far is another balls up which means his wages will be considerably higher.
I would be absolutley gutted if we lose Gordon like, which unfortunately is looking more and more likely. He's the best keeper we've had in years.
Gordon wouldn't have been so badly positioned for Taylor's freekick against the Mags.
Id be very very surprised if we ever see gordon in a sunderland shirt again.
