Friday Night Premier League Matches???

It's by far the biggest fixture in Australian football.

Never quite understood why it was Monday night games in England and the US

They'll probably change a Saturday game when I've been on lates to a Friday so I'll be at work.
Wish they would just leave it the fuck alone to be honest.

Shit that like, less and less 3pm Saturday games.

Fewer.

I'd prefer a Saturday 3pm kick off for Sunderland, but as we are only selected for television if we're in a relegation fight I'd like to think we'll avoid most changes to kick off.

What that means is I can see more games from the Premier League than if they were all on at the same time as our game or if I was on the lash.

Couldn't see it anywhere so thought I'd post it. Seems there will be Friday night matches for Prem games in 2 seasons. So potentially, there could be 4 days of football; Fri-Mon.

I for one think a home/away match on a Friday night would be excellent. Great way to start the weekend, depending on the result of course ;)

How do other people feel??

I remember Arsenal beating the Mags in a Friday night match 2003/4. Was a canny way to start my night out watching that.

They should be used to help our Champions League teams to allow them the extra rest they always complain they need before a fixture.

Friday night games are always a hit in any football code in Australia.

Basically leave work and then have a great reason to get tanked.

In Aussie would mean a early morning Saturday kick off and nowt better than a boozy Saturday morning breakfast and a good reason for a kip before an afternoon session

twenty years ago in afl north Melbourne were the Friday night specialists

punched above their weight with crowds, results and atmosphere

leaving monday nights for dead

Apart from having to take a day's holiday, paying for a hotel and bending over once again for the TV companies I think it's spot on mate

I'd prefer 19 home 3pm Saturday kick offs per season.

One more game that I can't get to!

Midweek (or maybe I should say working day) games are a no-no for me. 360 mile round trip for a game and I'm not prepared to take precious holiday to go to a game.

Last Friday game I remember watching was THAT game vs Burnley, brilliant game, loved Edwards after that
