Around 2 000 got bus tickets apparently ! ...that will include all branches, so probably around 1 500 from SOL and those on metro got bus tickets "just in case"....

Many people - like myself - will have picked up bus tickets 'on the off chance' I end up needing them. Eg. if after the match it's looking dangerous or if it starts to piss down. They're free - so why wouldn't people take them? That said, there is no way in hell I would get the bus over to the ground again. It travels at about 15 miles an hour, you can't drink on it, there's no toilets. You have to get to the SoL for 1030! 1030!!!

If they put on a vaguely satisfactory bus service I'm sure many more would get it, but its absolute shite.

Got back before the escort last season ! ...know what you mean though mate.

Went via Gateshead stadium last season in first convoy

Apparently going the quickest route this season ( whats the quickest route ?) and will only take 45 minutes, dont need to be at the SOL by 10 30am, as there not setting off till 11 15, and last buses will probably go at 11 30am.

Ok, we'll see. I have such issues with the busses. One year at Newcastle and one year at Boro we waited 90 minutes for the busses to leave after the match. And remember they kept us in for 20 minutes too- so we were leaving 2 hours after kick off... then 40mph the whole way back.
Also twice I've been on busses which have had their windows put out and that's quite scary if its near you but worse it's December... imagine the ride home with no windows!
