for me this is a close call between tony norman and mart poom, but for me mart poom just edges it.
I know he was shit but Lionel Perez..
Chris Turner by a country mile
Chris Turner for me followed by Norman and Sorenson.
Love Is All Around - Wet Wet Wet.
Lou Bega. I fucking love that Mambo number 5 song.
Tony Norman..... Class keeper IMHO.
I remember Norman's first game, because of the shite we had endured before he arrived everytime he caught the ball everyone cheered. That save at W. Ham in the cup was immense.
Perez or Sorensen, my golden years.
Norman or Sorensen for me. I'd give my vote to Tommy though seen as he performed well for us in the Premier.
I liked Myhre (sp?) and Poomy as well
Shearer penalty puts Tommy in the lead for me.
One of the best games I seen him have was against us! He had an absolute stormer when he came back with Huddersfield the year we went up under Reidy at Roker.
perez??? he was shite man
Although I was at Pride Park when Poom scored and I don't think I've ever celebrated a Sunderland goal as much (I was fucking arseholed and it was like we'd won the cup!).
When i was a bairn i proper adored him! True he lacked alot of the basics a good goalie should have but was also able to make some incredible reaction saves (vs Sheff Utd in the playoffs), plus the Lionel chants were epic.
Couple of loanees also worth a mention Andy Dibble and Shay Given. Think both of them faded in to obscurity when they left us.
Aye, can't argue with that like.
Tommy Sorensen by miles for me.
I liked Tony Norman but Tommy was part of a team with a much better feel good factor about it.
