... in front of Brucey. I know that's not why he's there, but...
well he didnt score, and he's a striker, you do the maths
not really his fault. As soon as Drogba opened the scoring, Bolton rolled over and died.
I saw him miss a one on one, he was offside like but still
Quinny was often shit then on that basis.
... and how Rooney has been a starter for so long should mean SAF oughtta get sacked.
He's a better option than those being bandied about imho, the likes of Fuller and Piqiounne (sp) are over thirty and probably overpriced. Less of a risk to give someone mid 20s like Elmander a longer contract on better money as he'll have a larger resale value.
Elmander will be 30 come the start of next season so there's little resale value really.
His contract runs out this summer as well so he will be cheap. Only problem is that it took 3 seasons and a new manager for him to start playing remotely well. Run the risk of getting the crap Elmander instead of the good one.
Nearly scored a spectacular bicycle kick didn't he?
Would be canny to be honest.
True, but I think Bruce and Coyle's brand of football and style of management is a lot closer than Bruce and Megson's.
Not really. If it is the moment I'm thinking of, then he did well to swivel and adjust his body to flick it in the general direction of the goal, but it was a long way from almost scoring and even further away from being a spectacular bicycle kick.
Agreed except the mid 20's bit, thats how old he was when Bolton signed him. My guess is the reason we're not in for him is that words already out that he wants ridiculous wages or something like that.
Don't rate him at all, really hope he comes nowhere near our club.
The lad scores a few goals at the beginning of the season and it's like the next coming of Ronaldo :roll:
Rang him this morning and he said if he'd come here he'll do this every game;
Poorly, as did the whole Bolton team
Can't believe Steve Bruce was watching Elmander all game, when we have Chelsea as our next fixture.
