Has sent a 2 page hand written letter to a neighbour of ours and his 8 year old SAFC supporting son. They wrote to him asking for a few autographs and asking a simple question.

It explains how it was to combine his degree and wanting to play football. Very nice letter indeed

Whatever you think about the guy on the pitch, I am hugely impressed with him off it
Alreet Ian?

amount of times I heard folk shouting for him to play passes that were never an option on Saturday because it's just the done thing was ridiculous. Some of our lot need to get off his back like.

I'm actually convinced that the stick he's receiving is because Van Aanholt improved slightly last season and he can't really be a scapegoat anymore. He's been shit this season though so give it 2 more games and Watmore will be forgotten about and it'll be Van Aanholt's turn again.

This a thousand times.

The amateur hour at the match just drives me up the wall. There's a fella behind me who specialises in the old 'GET OUT' or 'GET A FOOT IN' or 'SOMEONE SHOOT MAN' shite regardless of the situation. Needless to say he's the first to hurl abuse should anyone follow his advice and it doesn't come off - in fact he did it with Watmore on Saturday when he told him to shoot, it hit the defender, and then he went 'what was that man?!' as if it wasn't EXACTLY what he'd said :D

What a stupid post .
So the fact that watmore's shot hit the defender is because a fan in t he crowd shouted shoot . Ffs man focus on how shit watmore is and has been . Sounds like t he fella behind you knows more than you.

He was better than that on Saturday.

You didn't watch the game?

But don't just take my word for it

The Echo-"Tenacious start lifted SoL and played his part in Defoe's scond with hard low cross. Loads of running."

The Chronicle- "On for Pienaar 15mins. Full of running and provided the assist for Defoe’s second goal"
Sorry but he wasn't , he was as ineff ective as he has always been , a waste of a shirt in this league.

How was his spelling?

The manager is hurting him by starting him every week. He is an impact substitute at present. As a starter he is ineffective.

In fairness he wasnt starting on Saturday but had to come on because of Pienaar injury.

As nice as it is, I'd rather he be unreal on the pitch if it meant not bothering with letters.

It is possible to be a nice bloke and unreal on the pitch at the same time.

He obviously seems like a decent lad off the pitch. In his interviews he always comes across well. He obviously cares about the club aswell, jus unfortnately I don't think he is going to make the grade.

I get the impression he's very nice young man, and a dedicated pro who wants to get better.
Despite what some say, especially the 2nd half on Saturday he played well.

Fair play to the kid , seems a nice lad . Championship footballer at best

Seems a great lad. If he looks up now and again and improved his touch (which looked better on Saturday), he'd be a good footballer as well.
He played a part in goal at qpr got an assist on Saturday and would of against spurs if Defoe could have been arsed to move people forget he hasn't had games in the football league to learn and develop

I often worry people will see me like this, as Recently I've been constantly shouting PUSH UP! or PRESSURE MAN!

Though I think it's because we never bloody push up and apply pressure
