Bought this at the weekend, pretty good like Skyrim but rock hard!
I thought it was class at first but havent been on since the middle of last week. Keep getting confused on where to go for the quests and not being able to fast travel is doing my head in (unless I'm missing something)
You're not, it's about as clear as a pint of Guinness
On the final boss fight I think. Hated it at first, just died over n over. Picked an Assassin and until I got a certain skill they were just shit.
Meet a bunch of archers and you are dead, they can just fire non stop till u have no stamina and 1 hit just about kills you.
Gets easier later on like, can take down manticores n cyclops nee bother now.
Having to walk everywhere is a fkn pain, if not for that game wouldn't be that long. Sure they left it like that to make the lifespan longer. Its ok if you can spend 2 hours walking somewhere but some of us have work n other shit to do. Even just a fast travel back to hand quests in would be nice.
You can get teleport stones but they cost about 20grand a pop and for most of the game u are skint as fuck. Only time ive had money I blew it all buying and upgrading weapons n armour.
Found best party is 2 casters with heal and A N Other. Tried fighter for A N Other but ranger ended up being canny in the end.
Game is totally unforgiving. Start off and get a few quests, one to rescue some lass in some woods. Tried to get there and just died about 50 times off some blokes on the way so went to do an escort quest and when I got there I got informed the other quest had failed. Wtf the place I walked was like 10 minutes up the road!?!? Grrrr
Goes from dying constantly to just waltzing through everything in a short time, doesnt seem much middleground from my playthrough (went Assassin then Warrior, think Warrior is prob best to start with).
Not bad, but no Skyrim.
fuck me is this game hard! I tried to do the quest to go and meet qinna and just kept getting knacked, was a strider and got proper pissed off and started again as a warrior, just been told off a lad i work with that the best thing to do is start doing the jobs on the board to level up as much as possible before even trying. I'm making me way back from gran soren and got to the encampment......................just, it turned to night while i was on the road and loads of wolves goblins and bandits decided it would be fun to come and kick me head in. I've got about half me health left and no money cause i just spent it all on equipment I'm gonna brave trying to get back to cassardis but i reckon i'm gonna die
Struggling to get into this properly, I have no idea which is the main quest and the side quests are all pretty boring with no real information behind them. It takes 20 years to get somewhere as you have to fight loads of monsters then they have all re-spawned when you travel back
Found a Dragon in some wood when I was on last night, fought it for a few mins then ran away as it was rock. Gonna give it another couple of hours to try and get into it as it might just be me being crap at it
the main quest is to chin that geet fuck off dragon from the begining and get your heart back
I think I might just give up with it, love RPG's but just can't get away with this. The fightings is ok but the story / characters etc seem shite
How long did it take you to finish it? If it's short(ish) I could try and force myself through it
Just a fk on to get into it, took me time n time again going back to it before I actually got anywhere and about 6 million deaths from anything I met (bar goblins). Anything with a bow and you are fkd, unless you can advance on them with your shield quick enough before they zap your stamina as they can fire every step you take so sometimes cant even get near, need that warrior charging skill to block them zoom in.
Once you get a few skills it gets better. Just make sure you have a shield, fkd without one. Assassin seemed to be completely boring and useless, done much better when I got to end of it and swapped to fighter.
Also found having 2 casters with heals v. usefull.
Not a brilliant game by any means, but ok.
It does get easier, not much mind, just do as many side quest as possible to level up and change your pawns as often as possible. Also do not travel at night if at all possible but if you get caught at night stick to the paths and make sure you have a lattern and plenty of oil, or you will get crucified.
Ps Assassin is the better option as long as you have a sorcerer as your main pawn and a Mage to heal your party. Just stand back launch aload of arrows, then jump in later with daggers or swords.
I wouldn't imagine it is shortish as you need to make sure you are at a high enough level to get through the game.
Past the first play through, the amount of good stuff you can get hold of now is unreal compared to the shit I was finding the first time.
I just found the drowned gods altar and i'm mooching around in there, it's getting a bit easier now like.
Released by Chelsea on a free.
Up to level 50 swatting enemy's like flies
Think I was only low 30's when I knacked the big dragon. Left it falling down some pit, will fully complete it later (much further to go?)
Not much just about 5 hours!
I've just done this quest, anyone know how far I am off the end. Despite me loving RPG's I've decided this isnt for me, I think the story / dialogie / characters are terrible and that's what is putting me off the game
For example MINOR SPOILER BELOW
I did that cult quest earlier and had to fight loads of zombies at the end then found a man cowering in the corner, some random black fella said it was up to me if I kill him or not. I did and that was it, nothing else. I have no idea what is going on and havent at any point in this game
you haven't quite finished that quest though marra, theres is still more to do on that. And that leads onto the final quest. I found a drake the other day when i was about level 20, went back to try and chin it now that i'm level 40 wasted about an hour trying to kill the fucker and ran out of everything bar my travel stone had to use that to get out of there. I reckon if i cant knack that drake i have got nee fucking chance of finishing off the dragon yet!
Dragons a piece of piss! NOT!
