Im not so sure now.
Reckon we could pick up nedum, for half the price. Spend the rest on a LB.
After his recent performances, the asking price won't be getting any lower. Missed the boat I think.
depends on the prices of both really, id still rather have hutton i think, onuoha could still change my mind with performances though
I would still love him here, Onouha was good against Man Utd but I still think he has a fe question marks about him.
Whereas Hutton is excellent going forward and can defend.
They cant ask for more than 4mill for a player that would never play for them.
never stopped them before
He has forced his way into the side recently and wont be getting dropped even when a few more players are back as he has been one of their best players in the last 3 games.
yes if he is available and at the right price. If Sunderland ever want to progress we need two decent players in each position
you're forgetting angeleri
In terms of a LB, our first choice Rico is shaping up as good as any out of the top 6.
Maybe we need back up to him but that's it.
Onourha is younger, cheaper and can cover more positions. Might not be quite as good (or is he?) but he has massive potential and could surpass what Hutton is currently.
Can't see Spurs selling Hutton for cheap, been playing very very well for them (tho still not fucking 9mil+ worth).
City look like they may not want Onourha if Mancini stays in charge (please do!) and would be a good signing for us.
I would like Onouha to stop and also dont think we need a left back tbh
there is not much to remember looks a milton nunez style signing to me
they can ask for what they want they own him
would rather have Onouha for £6m then hutton for £8m
i am a fan of hutton and would have been delighted to have seen him sign for £4-5m.
onuoha is younger, more versatile and can become the better player so if we could get him for a similar price then go for it.
can i also give an honourable mention to phil bardsley, his emergence as possible cover at both right back and left back makes him a valuable squad member who should be offered a contract tout suite.
he is underrated and a far better full back than anton ever will be imho.
Although I want Onouha to sign for us, he will never have the footballing ability to go forward as well as Hutton.
no reason why not, the lad can clearly cross a ball
they can ask whatever they like
What makes you so sure we have anything to spend?
I'd be amazed to see any major incomings without a few of the remaining deadwood out of the door first.
