This what happens, when you loan out gyan, people start talking about david dowson !
I reckon give him 100 games up front for a middle PL side, he would get 5 maybe 6 goals.
He's got a few this season too. Good to see Durham City have stabilised after the ridiculously shite season they had a couple of years back.
Aye, and Carl Macar was top scorer.
It's a shite pub league man.
In a Premier League side? Give ower, he'd struggle at Division 3 level man.
had trials at couple of league clubs but didnt make it--might still be young enough to get into conference promotion team ?
Not with that attitude!
he wouldn't get near that
Yes, its good to see Durham getting back on track after their financial problems. The team they had three seasons ago was superb.
4th after their win last night at Lancaster, their fifth win in a row.
Dowson is a class above at that level from what I've seen.
Aye, nice to see Durham back on track following their nightmare season a couple of years ago. Maybe a shout for the play-offs this season?
I remember watching their games in their promotion season and some of the football would put professional teams to shame. Quick, one-touch passing and before you knew it the ball was in the back of the net. People just automatically assume that all football at this level is rubbish, but there are some teams out there that certainly know how to play and entertain.
What the fuck is that?
It's like a dirk Kuyt / Sloth hybrid.
Agreed. It was far more entertaining watching Durham that season than Sbragia's Sunderland.
The recent upsurge in form has coincided with Richard Ord taking total control of the team, after previously having joint managers.
My mate plays for them like, says the lads there have 0 respect for Ord and they play for each other not him...
Ord does come across as a bit thick mind. But I don't think the previous manager was well liked either.
He had a pretty decent loan spell at a League 1/2 club not long before he left us didn't he? Surprised he dropped that far.
they are at home this saturday, was going to go through and watch but i heard someone on here say its a tenner to get in, can anyone confirm that? i had a (quick) look round their website and couldnt find nowt on ticket prices.
its such a shame that ticket prices are that expensive for the lower leagues (gateshead is £15).
£7. £2 for under 14s(free if they are with an adult).
Gateshead is £14 by the way.
He's weird as fuck apparently.
