Just needing a bit advice as this is the first time I've ever had a phone contract and its up at the end of July. Got an iphone 4 (yes, I know) and I'm currently paying about £50 a month for unlimited texts, 600 minutes of calls (which is easily enough) and unlimited internet usage, and it also includes orange care for £12 a month (so i can get the thing fixed if it breaks, which I always think is likely to happen!) Dont fancy just ending me contract as the internet usage would cost loads on pay as you go but I equally dont fancy upgrading and continuing to shell out £50 a month. The phone is fine for what I need it for but obviously is now quite old in phone terms. If I contact them will I be able to negotiate a new, substantially cheaper, contract? If so, how much should I be looking at spending for a one year contract (current one is 2 years which was the minimum they'd offer as the phone was just out when i got it) with the same terms? Obviously being a 2 year old phone I'm best to keep the care thing as its likely to start breaking, but even including that I'm guessing I should be paying much less than £50 a month for it now since theres a 4s out and a 5 on its way (apparently due before my current contract runs out). Anyone experienced in negotiating these things, or will I just be faced with upgrade the phone or go pay as you go?
