If the deal goes through, I reckon there'll be bigger meltdown on their forum than on here. Especially if he's the only CM they do sign and is expected to fill Cabaye's shoes. I'm not going to hate the lad for signing for his boyhood team though.

Jack will prove you all wrong, just as Jordan Henderson has at Liverpool. JH was an average ''plodder '' as a lot of you said while he was here, the same you are saying about Jack. In my opinion they are 2 very talented lads who came through the same youth team with Jack as captain. Jordan now plays in a very good midfield and if Jack goes to a decent club with a good midfield you will see the difference playing with good players can do to you. He will be class, our midfield, is not. Good luck to Jordan, needs a bit of luck then off to Brazil, hopefully.

He is average, nothing more. In fact I would say since he learned how to dive, fall over, feign injury at the slightest touch he is not as good as he used to be

Not bothered.

He's not a great footballer and if he's the level they're looking at, then they aren't learning from either their own, or our mistakes.

He'll get relegated with them next season, then he'll have to rejoin us f he doesn't want to eave the north east.

Aye, but what if he ends up at mags watching Dummets punts fly over his head?

meltdown? seriously? give the fuck ower man!

do you socialise outside of this place?:lol:

Normally I say he is overrated. He was very good against city like. Excellent ball retention. Still needs to show more risk taking in attacking positions.

Didn't see the game the other night due to work, but the frustrating thing is that when he is good, he's excellent and makes it look pretty effortless, but does not do it anywhere near often enough.

The smb doesnt think with one mind ynar, other opinions are available.
JCs a top end championship/bottom end PL player. Theres not one poster who would deny that. Because of his "coming through the ranksness" Id prefer to keep him as I would with Leadbetter but they both want to play regularly and a midfield featuring Colback and Leadbetter on a regular basis would be relegated. They are both PL squaddies and not of regular game quality.
He seems to simply wants more money than safc can currently budget for and to get on the pitch more than SAFC managers seem to think is prudent.

He was very good. My MOTM actually. He and Cattermole carried Seb who just doesn't offer anything.

I said on their forum, not ours. Perhaps not meltdown or coffin bearing proportions but I reckon it'll stir some serious debate amongst their midst if he goes there as Ashleys answer to replacing Cabaye.

Administration of the club and contract should be investigated. Should never have been given a contract which expired after he was 24.
This will be the first opportunity for him to move on a free without compensation.
Should have expired a year earlier in which case compensation would have been payable.
Absolutely basic planning.

anyone got a pic of colback holding his hands to his ears after david vaughan scored the 3rd from a couple years ago? remember seeing it on the video on youtube.

I sincerely hope this is true - I really do hope he goes to Newcastle....says everything what I think about him as a professional & a player
