3-5-2 more likely, can't see Sam playing the German as 1 of 2 in centre mid

That's a possibility too.

But when you look at the players we have, it would only take 3 good signings in the right positions in a 3-5-2 (right wing back, centre mid and centre forward) and we have a mid table side. That formation would suit PVA and Kirchhoff in particular, but would also give us the opportunity to pair someone with Defoe

Be happy with Benteke or Dzeko. Whether we get either - time will tell. To be honest, we could sign literally anybody and they'd be an improvement on N'Doye.

We need to make the bench more competitive with the first team. Another RB, CM and another attacker?
