Anyone been? What's it like?
been couple fo times. its ok... Marina is best bit. lovely on an evening
beaches are all small bays.. plenty of them but small and can get quite busy.
where abouts in Cala D'or
ia cockney joiner once asked me 'what cala d'or do you want?'
i said white
Full of Spaniards.
Just thinking of going there for a week mate, don't know whereabouts exactly.
not really banging nightlife but plenty of places to eat and drink around the center..
few late night joints but never seemed too busy having said that I was never out really late with kids in tow
I'll be going with the wife and kids, nee banging nightlife for me like.
I've been there like. Canny posh place and very pleasant. We don't really do the beach so that wasn't a problem for us. If you like the Palma Nova type of place then it's not for you. I stayed here, just outside the resort and it was superb.
I can recommend the Cala Azul park/Cala Esmeralda complex. Good for kids, own small cove/beach, great pools etc.
I'm just looking at this place.
Many of the aparthotels round there are owned by Germans (bit like a timeshare thing) and are very orientated towards that clientelle. I stayed in this one for one night and we were one of only two UK families in there.
I can't rememebr the place I stayed last time but it was right next to the main beach Cala gran.
excellent price for an aprtment hotel and easy enough to get around.
also just along the road from a bit where they had some bouncy castles and stuff for the kids.
I don't think you can go far wrong with Majorica in general, especially the North East/East coast.
Spot on for that then. I went with me Da bout 10 year ago. Nice place. Some top places for scran as well, especially down the marina. As for beaches, if you do go, avoid the one nearest the marina as it fills with oil and shit from the boats. The coves further along are canny though - good for snorkelling with the fishes.
Went last year and stayed in a Villa with the family, really nice beach's, loads of places to eat and around the marina theres a couple bars showing the footy etc etc.
We hired a motor for the week aswell and had a drive about, lots of little places to stop of at, really enjoyed it for a relaxing holiday!
Mondrago nature park is unreal aswell, 1 of the best beach's in the world by all accounts!
have you considered menorca mate ? only been the once like but ideal for families - citudella (the old capital) was really nice, and a couple at work have said Mahon is spot on
